Friern Barnet & Whetstone Residents' Association: "Where's the Chimney?"

"I attended the exhibition held at St Paul's Parish Church Hall on 16 February (hosted by Barnet Council and the NLWA) about the Pinkway Way development.

"The exhibition pointed out that the biological process for processing the waste can be very smelly. The NLWA admitted on one of their display boards that:
"depending on the type of odour control technology, there may be a requirement for a stack."
"The scale model of the proposed developed site did not show a stack. We can speculate on what such a stack may look like, and how high it may be, but we have been warned."

The Friern Barnet & Whetstone Residents' Association covers the area that was once the Friern Barnet Urban District Council. There five hundred (paying) households in our membership. Very roughly, we go from the North Circular in the south, to Friern Mount Drive in Whetstone in the north, the High Road in the west, and Oakleigh Road North in the east - but that is very rough, there are lots of ins and outs!
