"A SOUTHGATE woman who stood against the Prime Minister at the last election has been chosen as the Liberal Democrat GLA candidate for Enfield and Haringey.

"Party activist Dawn Barnes has entered the race for the London Assembly seat currently held by Labour's Joanne McCartney, and will contest the election next May. She said:
"I’ve been active in Enfield and Haringey with grassroots organisations on issues such as the empty homes around the North Circular, the YES to fairer votes campaign, and in saying no to the Pinkham Way waste plant."
