'Bounds Green Island Action Group' issues protest leaflet

"We are the 'Bounds Green Island Action Group', a group of local residents from the Warwick Road and surrounding area, who are deeply concerned about the North London Waste Authority's plans to build a waste processing plant at Pinkham Way.

"We have spoken with the Pinkham Way Alliance, who have comprehensive information about the problems that these plants can cause. We feel that we haven't been kept properly informed about these plans, or the possible problems that can arise from these kinds of plants.

"We truly do not believe that such a large industrial processing plant should be built so close to so many homes and schools. We are not happy that seven London boroughs will be sending their black-bag waste to our neighbourhood. We believe there must be a more sensible area where they could build this plant, which is not in such close proximity to our thriving community and several schools."
