Andrew Dismore, London Assembly Labour candidate for Barnet and Camden, condemns NLWA plan

"This is a development that is too big, ill-thought-out and will result in hundreds of rubbish trucks using roads that are neither suitable nor with adequate capacity, creating traffic congestion and road safety problems. The environment will become noisy and the air polluted with foul odour, impacting on health.

"The development cannot happen without Conservative Barnet Council’s collusion, and they should not be allowed to get away with this connivance to the detriment of residents in that area of Barnet, as well as of Enfield and Haringey. Residents have a right to proper and detailed involvement and open and fair consultation, and should not be railroaded and their views completely ignored."
